In conjunction with Marariki Ki Waikato, Arts for Health is proud to celebrate this event.  We invited artists to make a homemade star which we traded for freshly made fried bread. This gave us the perfect opportunity to gather and share kai, talk about what Matariki meant and learn a little more about our culture.  This event happened all week and was a great success....

As part of the Ministry of Culture and Heritage Nga What Auaha Creative Spaces Funding, Arts for Health has been selected along with 17 other providers in the Cultural Regeneration Fund, Round 1, to open access to inspiring culture experiences. In July 2001 Lynda Preest joined Arts for Health as their administrator. This month we celebrate 20 years of service with a little get-together with some of the artists and team. Our annual community art competition and exhibition held at Artspost, was won by local artist Elwyn Stone with her acrylic piece called "Teamwork Makes the Dream Work".  Arts for Health was supported by community and local artists and filled all three galleries at Artspost.  The competition was judged by local arts educators Jacqui Kruger and Peter Faulkner.   Opening night was standing room only and several pieces sold on the night.  Thank you to all the wonderful peopl...

Come and join us on Friday mornings in our Beginners and Intermediate class using Gouache.   People have been using Gouache for the last 1200 years for a whole range of creative outlets. Fringe Festival Award Win

Arts for Health are pleased to be acknowledged as the Visual Art winners of the Waikato Fringe Festival 2019, ‘Make Some Noice Award’ in their inaugural exhibition ‘Thrive’.
