Runs all year with a short break for Christmas holidays.
Open Studio is a friendly and safe place for you to get creative, make new friends and make art.
We are open every day of the week and for a small donation of $5 per session you have access to everything you need to get started on your very own artistic journey. Choose from our range of paints, brushes, paper, pencils, pastels, and basic sculpting tools and materials, buy a canvas from us or feel free to bring along your own. If you have a special project that you are working on feel free to bring along your own materials.
If you like to use oil paints please make sure that they are non smelling.
You don't have to be an expert to make art – we welcome everyone aged 15 and over although we have the occasional younger artist attending with an adult.

Our friendly art tutors are always on hand to give you tips and advice. If you want to enhance your skills, we also offer a range of art workshops and classes each term. Whether you want to drop by for an hour or spend the whole day, we'd love to see you and help you explore your creativity.

How do I join? Simply pop in anytime during opening hours and we can help you to make art.
Can I visit to see if I like it? Yes, you can either pop in and the friendly staff can show you around, or if you prefer, you can make an appointment.
How long can I have to stay for? Stay as long as you like, some people stay for half an hour, 2 hours, a morning, afternoon or all day. Choose what suits you best.
Who will help me? Our art tutor will help you with ideas and suggestions to get you going. If you are looking for art instruction take a look at our workshops which run each term.
We are wheelchair friendly, have free onsite parking and if you have a support worker, they are welcome too. Create amazing artwork, meet like-minded people and have lots of fun in our Open Studio space.
