Arts for Health Annual New Zealand Art Competition

The Arts for Health Annual New Zealand Art Competition and Exhibition is open to artists from across New Zealand. Whether you're an emerging artist or an experienced exhibitor, this is your opportunity to showcase your work at ArtsPost Galleries in Hamilton, compete for cash and sponsored prizes, and connect with fellow artists from around the country. As Arts for Health's biggest fundraising event of the year, every entry helps support creative wellbeing programmes while celebrating the incredible talent of New Zealand artists.

The prize for the winning piece is $1,000, which is the purchase price of the artwork, to be included in the Arts for Health Community Trust Art Collection.

Who Can Enter?
Artists from anywhere in New Zealand are welcome to enter. The competition is open to emerging and established artists working across a range of mediums.

You can submit up to 2 entries. If you prefer to pay in cash, please visit our office. Terms and conditions for the art competition below.

Entries close Friday 16th October or when we reach 100 entries.

Opening night: Thursday 29th October, 5:30 – 7:00pm (Prizegiving at 6:00pm).
Artwork drop-off: Tuesday 27th October, 9:00am – 11.30am at Artspost (unless other arrangements have been made).
