Bring Your Artwork. Get Fresh Eyes on Your Work.
Sometimes a fresh perspective is exactly what you need.
Bring along a piece of artwork you’re working on and join us for a relaxed group critique session with artist Chris Greenslade.
This session is an opportunity to step back from your work, hear constructive feedback, discuss ideas and learn by looking at other artists’ work too.
You don’t need to have a finished artwork. Bring something completed, something you’re still working through, or a piece where you’re not quite sure what to do next.
What to Expect
Bring one of your own artworks to discuss.
Receive constructive feedback and a fresh perspective on your work.
Talk about areas such as composition, colour, technique, ideas and possible next steps.
Hear different viewpoints from Chris and other artists in the group.
Learn through discussing and looking at other people’s artwork.
Meet other local artists in a relaxed studio setting.
This isn’t about judging whether artwork is “good” or “bad”. The focus is on useful discussion that can help you look at your work differently and continue developing your creative practice
Who Is It For?
This session is suitable for emerging, practicing and experienced artists who would like feedback on their work.
You can work in painting, drawing, mixed media or another visual art form.
What to Bring
Bring one artwork you would like feedback on. It can be finished or still in progress.
You may also want to bring a notebook to jot down ideas that come out of the discussion.
