Art Inspired by Nature

This course explores a variety of art materials and techniques, with a different medium introduced each week. Participants will take inspiration from flowers, gardens, trees, landscapes, seed pods, and the natural world that surrounds us.

Suitable for beginners as well as those with some experience, this class offers a relaxed and supportive environment to build confidence, develop skills, and enjoy creative exploration at your own pace. Limited to 10 people. 

Meet Your Tutor Jennifer:
Jennifer holds an MA in Painting, brings experience and clear, step-by-step guidance. She adapts each class to students’ needs, helping everyone to build skills and confidence.

Pathway:
After this class, participants can join Open Studio to continue practicing or return to our Art Inspired by Nature class to try advanced painting techniques.

Outcomes:

• Develop observational drawing skills inspired by nature

• Understand colour and composition

Equipment List: Participants can either bring their own materials using the provided stationery list, or pay a $30 materials fee for the class. The materials supplied through the fee remain the property of the class and are not taken home.

- Paper (watercolour pad and drawing pad)
- Pencil set

- Watercolour paints (12 colours or more, including primary colours)
- One sheet of A3 black paper
- Magazines for collage
