Discover New Zealand's
Smallest Gallery
Welcome to NZ's Smallest Gallery – a one-window art space in the heart of Hamilton.
This quirky little gallery is part of Arts for Health, a creative community space where art supports wellbeing. You’ll find it right on the street, right beside our Arts for Health building - when Arts for Health is open so is our tiny gallery, visible from the footpath in Norris Ward Park.
It’s small. Very small. But it’s packed with local art and big-hearted ideas. Designed to surprise, delight, and get people talking, NZ's Smallest Gallery shows what’s possible with a spark of creativity and a single window.
What is NZ's Smallest Gallery?
It’s exactly what it sounds like – the tiniest art gallery in Aotearoa New Zealand. This micro-gallery holds rotating displays from local artists and community groups and gives everyone a chance to enjoy art on the go.
Where is it?
We’re at Arts for Health, 2 Seddon Road, Hamilton, adjacent to Norris Ward Park and just across from Hamilton Girls High. The gallery is park-facing, so you can view it during our opening hours – no bookings, no cost.
Why did we build it?
Because we believe art should be for everyone. Whether you're walking the dog, heading to work, or just out for a wander – NZ's Smallest Gallery is a reminder that creativity belongs in everyday life.
It’s also a fun, low-pressure way to connect with the bigger work of Arts for Health – a place where art helps people feel better, make friends, and explore their identity.
