Arts for Health's Permanent Collection

For the past eight years, Arts for Health has been building a permanent collection of artworks by local Hamilton artists. Each year, we purchase the winning works from our annual Arts for Health Exhibition, including acrylic paintings on canvas and selected mixed media pieces, adding to a growing collection that celebrates community creativity.

This collection is more than just art on the walls. It honours the stories and achievements of everyday people, showing that creativity belongs to everyone. Each work reflects the talent, confidence, and connection that art brings, helping people feel a sense of belonging and achievement.

The collection preserves the history of our annual exhibition and celebrates the contributions of local artists. It is a tangible expression of creativity, connection, and achievement, remembering both the people and their artistic journeys.

The permanent collection is on display at the Norris Ward Arts and Crafts Centre, 2 Seddon Road, Hamilton, and is open for all to enjoy during our opening hours. We are also open to loaning works for display in other venues, sharing community art more widely.
