2025 Arts for Health Art Competition Winner Announced!
The opening night of this year’s annual art competition and exhibition, Making Changes went off with a bang! With over 110 entries in the 2025 Arts for Health Art Competition, the gallery was buzzing on Thursday, 23 October, as artists, whānau, and community members gathered eagerly to hear this year’s winners announced.
With six Merit Award winners and three Category winners, our judge Oliver Stewart had the challenging task of selecting the overall winner from such an inspiring collection of artworks.
After much consideration, Oliver shared what made this year’s winning piece stand out. From its depth, colour, layering, multimedia elements, and expressive brushwork, “The Oracle” by Skyler Treadway captured his attention and was awarded Overall Winner of the 2025 Arts for Health Art Competition.
Now in its 13th year, the Arts for Health Community Trust Art Competition and Exhibition continues to celebrate creativity, wellbeing, and community through art. The 2025 show called Making Changes, is on now at Artspost and will be exhibiting until 22 November — make sure to pop in and see the incredible works on display!
