Our art therapy group at Arts for Health in Hamilton offers a calming way to support your wellbeing. We provide a cosy space where you can explore your creativity and practise mindfulness. If you're feeling stressed or need some personal time, this is the ideal place to start. Over eight weeks, you'll try a variety of art activities such as painting, pastels, printing, clay sculpture, drawing, and collage. Each session is led by Scarlett Jeong, a registered arts therapist who fosters a peaceful and welcoming environment. Our group welcomes adults of all ages who want to boost their mental well-being through creativity, reduce stress, connect with others, and invest in self-care. There is no need for any art experience, and all materials are provided. We keep our group small, with only 8 participants to ensure individual attention and support. Participants have found themselves more relaxed and clear-headed, felt safe to express their emotions if they chose to, and enjoyed the warmth and understanding of community. Though not traditional talk therapy, it is deeply therapeutic you might be surprised by what you discover through art. Sign up for one of our workshops which run every term.
