Get your hands dirty, try new things and meet new people in our open art studio. Arts for Health is open all year, with a short break for Christmas. Our workshops are open to all people of all abilities, 15 years old and up. If you are worried about not knowing what to do, our art tutors can offer suggestions. Our self directed projects include painting, drawing, mixed media, sculpture, printmaking and more.
Thank you to The Braemar Charitable Trust for their support of our premier studio space.
Social Art Group
Monday & Friday, each term 9:30am-2:30pm
If you get distracted by the fridge, stereo, housework or other people, our Social Art Group might be the perfect place for you. We provide basic art materials and access to equipment, or you can bring along your own. Work at your own speed on your own projects.
Our arts facilitator is happy to give you a hand if you get stuck or need to bounce off ideas. These are small groups of no more than 10 people so it is best to book.
$10 per session, come for the whole day or part day.
If you have ever wanted to talk to someone face to face, check out art therapy with Arts for Health. Art therapy is for everyone, no matter what age or background. Arts therapists work with you using art making as a way to explore problems and find solutions for emotional and mental well-being.
We offer individual, family and group sessions and recommend six initial sessions.
Individual sessions are $135 per time.
